Three Generations of Love | Family Session in Woodland Park, Colorado
Some sessions leave an imprint on your heart—and this one absolutely did. Shelby reached out while traveling through Colorado with her mother and grandmother. She wanted to capture a family session to celebrate and preserve the bond between three generations of women. Her request was simple but deeply meaningful: find a scenic spot with mountain views that was also accessible for her grandmother, whose mobility was limited.
This session was personal for me, too. Just a few months earlier, I lost my own grandmother—my best friend. So when Shelby told me how important this session was to her, I felt every word.
I scouted a spot in Woodland Park that offered breathtaking views of Pikes Peak and still had a flat, walkable path just steps from the car. With tall evergreens framing the area and golden grasses swaying in the breeze, it truly felt like we were tucked into the heart of the mountains without sacrificing accessibility.
Throughout the session, we focused on capturing the connection between Shelby, her mom, and her grandmother. There were so many quiet moments—soft smiles, hand squeezes, and gentle laughter—that reflected just how much love this family shares. It was a privilege to witness.
These photos are more than just portraits—they’re memories that will be cherished for a lifetime. And I’m so honored to have been a small part of preserving them.
