Colorado Adventure Engagement | Amber & Kevin
Amber & Kevin’s engagement session was nothing short of an unforgettable adventure. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Horse Thief Falls near Cripple Creek, Colorado, we laced up our boots and headed into the woods — chasing waterfalls, laughter, and love.
These two thrive outdoors. Hiking is their happy place, and of course, their pup joined us on the trail. The whole session felt like a glimpse into their real life — playful, wild, full of connection. From winding forest paths to wide-open meadows, every location gave us something beautiful and real.
One of my favorite moments? I had them each write down why they love the other — right on their hands. First, they showed me, and then they revealed their words to each other. It was simple, raw, and powerful — and it brought the sweetest emotions to the surface.
They ran through tall grasses, shared a beer, and laughed until their cheeks hurt. The Colorado sun dipped low behind the trees, casting a golden glow on a love that’s easy to feel — and even easier to photograph.
This session was truly a dream for me. It captured everything I love — emotion, nature, and authenticity. I have a feeling this will go down as one of my favorite sessions I’ll ever have the honor to document.
