Nick & Karly’s Rainy Day Maternity Session | Alexander, NY

Some sessions are extra special — not just because of the setting or the light, but because of the people in front of the camera. Nick and Karly are dear friends of mine, and capturing their maternity session was such a meaningful experience.

They’re expecting their first baby girl together, and it’s clear how much love and joy is already wrapped up in this growing family. Karly’s daughter from a previous relationship shares a beautiful bond with Nick, and it was incredible to witness how naturally they’ve created such a loving foundation together.

We captured their session on Nick’s family property in Alexander, New York. It was one of those rainy, overcast days that most people might shy away from — but not us. The soft fog, damp grasses, and deep green trees created a dreamy backdrop that made everything feel a little extra magical.

Karly and Nick were their usual selves: playful, silly, and so in love. From gentle touches to uncontrollable giggles, they made the most of every moment — rain and all. These images are full of personality, connection, and anticipation for the new chapter ahead.

I already know they’re going to be incredible parents together. This little girl is coming into a home filled with love, laughter, and a whole lot of heart.
