Carleigh & Ethan’s Snowy Colorado Elopement in the High Country
Capturing the love between two incredible humans, surrounded by towering peaks and a cotton candy sky — this is what Colorado elopement dreams are made of.
Carleigh and Ethan chose to elope in the mountains, and Colorado delivered its signature early snowfall in September. Classic high country weather! But these two took it all in stride — bundled up, beaming, and ready for the adventure. We even brought a bottle of Jameson along to help warm them up between shots (because let’s be honest — that’s one of the perks of eloping: it’s your day, your way).
One of my favorite moments was capturing Carleigh standing on the rocks, framed by the mountains and moonlight, with soft pastels painting the sky behind her. She was radiant. Thankfully, she came prepared with winter boots, which meant I was able to photograph her and Ethan climbing over the snow-covered rocks, sharing sweet moments and quiet laughs along the way.
When it came time for their vows, I stepped back and shot from below, giving them space to be fully present with each other. It was private, peaceful, and everything an intimate ceremony should be.
