Deer Creek Mountain Camp… wow. What an absolute hidden gem! Julia and Grayson chose this stunning venue for their wedding, and it had everything they dreamed of — not just for them, but for their guests, too. With many of their loved ones traveling from out of town, it was important to them that everyone could stay right where the celebration was happening. And this spot delivered.

Julia and Grayson have been on quite a journey — two beautiful souls who found their way to each other after years of growing, exploring, and meeting some incredible people along the way. They were surrounded by those very people on their big day, each one contributing to a celebration full of heart and meaning.

They exchanged vows in a serene grove of aspens, and the setting couldn’t have been more magical. The reception was filled with creative, personal touches — from the live mushrooms and wild floral tablescapes by the incredibly talented Fern, to the hand-painted murals that dappled the reception hall, created by Julia herself (yes, she’s a muralist — how cool is that?).

One of my favorite moments of the day was when the owners of Deer Creek Mountain Camp loaded us into their Jeep and drove us to the top of the property for sunset portraits. The panoramic mountain views were unreal — a quiet, beautiful moment for Julia and Grayson to soak in their first minutes as newlyweds, and a dream setting for me to capture their connection without a single distraction.

I can’t say enough about this venue. It had everything — lodging, scenery, intimacy, and that unbeatable Colorado energy. If you're dreaming of a wedding that combines natural beauty with comfort, creativity, and community, Deer Creek Mountain Camp might just be your spot.
