Erin & Jeff’s Burn Scar Engagement Session | Colorado Springs

Erin and Jeff's engagement session was everything I love about storytelling through photography — natural, deeply personal, and full of laughter. We headed up to the burn scar in Colorado Springs, where the sun danced across the mountaintops and tall grasses, casting the perfect golden glow on their love story.

Because these two share a passion for camping, I brought along a tent to make their session feel even more like “them.” It added such a sweet, cozy element to the backdrop — a little reminder of all the adventures they've already shared and the ones still to come. And of course, they brought their dog along, because no story would be complete without the furriest family member!

As we played around with light and landscapes, their connection was undeniable — playful, easy, and full of joy. Whether they were hiking around, relaxing near the tent, or sitting together quietly overlooking the city and the mountains, Erin and Jeff made it easy to capture something real.
