Wind, Water & Love: Sam & Adam’s Lake Erie Couples Session

I first met Sam last year during a super fun best friends session she booked with her bestie. So when she saw my availability for this summer, she reached out to schedule a couples session with her boyfriend, Adam — and I was so excited to see her again!

We bounced around location ideas for a bit, but once Sam sent me her outfit inspiration, I knew we needed a spot by the water. It just fit. Our first session date ended up being a total washout thanks to heavy rain, so we rescheduled — and round two almost looked the same. The sky was moody, and the wind coming off Lake Erie was intense, but Sam and Adam were total troopers and made the most of it.

Toward the end of the shoot, we discovered a little waterfall trickling down a rock wall — a perfect surprise courtesy of all that recent rain. Without hesitation, Sam and Adam embraced the moment. The water was freezing, but they laughed through it, totally in sync and up for the adventure.

I absolutely love sessions like this — where couples lean into the unexpected and trust the process. Sam and Adam brought the energy, the connection, and the fun. I’m so grateful I got to capture this chapter of their story!
