Donuts & Date Night in Nashville | Nikki & Kyle’s Sweet Session

As an early birthday gift, my husband planned a trip to Nashville — our first getaway since having our two boys. Naturally, I couldn’t resist the chance to book a few sessions while we were there! I posted in a local Facebook group, and that’s how I connected with Nikki and Kyle.

I had scouted out the cutest little donut shop in Nashville — Five Daughters Bakery — and immediately knew I wanted to shoot a date night session there. When Nikki told me their first date was at a donut shop, it felt meant to be.

Fun twist? This session happened the day we landed! Before the shoot, my husband and I stopped at Hattie B’s for some famous Nashville hot chicken. While we were inside, the sky turned dark. My husband offered to grab the car before the storm hit — but it was too late. He ran straight into a wall of rain and hail! (Truly a sight to see!) Thankfully, the storm cleared just in time for the session.

Nikki and Kyle were so much fun to work with — playful, relaxed, and completely at ease. We grabbed some donuts, laughed a ton, and captured the sweetest little date night memories.
