Karly & Nick’s Rainy Day Romance | Western New York Couple Session

Karly has been a friend of mine for years, so when my family and I planned a trip back to New York this past July, she reached out right away to book a session with her man, Nick. She wanted their shoot to be fun and playful — just like their relationship — and that’s exactly what we created.

We met at a local park, but within minutes, the skies opened up and the rain started to fall. Karly and Nick didn’t miss a beat. They embraced it all — the drizzle, the mood, the magic of an unexpected summer storm.

The highlight of the session? A quiet, romantic shot of them standing in a rain-speckled creek, with light streaming softly through the clouds. It was one of those perfect moments you can’t plan — the kind that just happens when you let the day unfold.

Eventually, the rain cleared, and we wrapped up with them sharing drinks and dancing in the grass. They were a little soggy, a lot in love, and completely themselves — which made the whole session even more special.
